Helen Noir

Helen Noir

Helen Noir is a London-based soprano who combines performance work with composing, orchestration, sound design, mixing and production. She works in film, theatre, fashion, concert hall and performance art. Recent work has included co-scoring a feature-length horror, music and sound design for several art-house short films and the composition and performance of a specially commissioned original soundtrack for the British Film Institute's Weimar season. She is also resident composer and music director for a series of avant-garde plays at London Performance Studios, and was audio post production lead and sound consultant for Dickie Beau's acclaimed Re-Member Me at Hampstead Theatre in spring 2023.

Helen is also an educator, and was music production lead at BIMM Institute's 2023 Summer School, as well as regularly teaching masterclasses in orchestration and production. She is a vocal advocate of increased representation from women and gender minorities in composing and production and frequently mentors new talent from these underrepresented groups.
